Why we carry Upwardor
We deliberately carry a small number of door lines rather than a long list. The reason is parts. A dealer who sells whatever is cheapest this quarter cannot stock parts for all of it, and the customer finds that out five years later when something needs replacing.
Upwardor is one of the two residential lines we carry, and we are a preferred dealer. That means we fit them often enough to know their hardware properly and we keep the parts on hand to service them.
Built for this climate
Doors sold across North America are not all designed for the same conditions. Panel construction, weather sealing, hinge and roller specification and the way a door handles thermal movement all matter far more in Saskatchewan than they do somewhere the temperature stays inside a thirty degree band all year.
A door here goes through a forty degree summer afternoon and a minus thirty January morning. The steel moves, the seals stiffen, and anything marginal in the build shows up as a failure in the coldest week of the year.
Residential and commercial
Upwardor make both, and we fit both. On houses that means sectional doors in a range of panel styles, colours and window layouts, insulated where the garage is heated and attached.
On the commercial side their sectional range covers shops, warehouses, farm buildings and dealerships, with the heavier hardware and higher cycle ratings a commercial opening needs. We fit and service that range across all three of our branches.
Seeing the options
There are considerably more combinations available than most people realise, and the door is usually the largest single visible surface on the front of a building. It is worth ten minutes of looking rather than defaulting to plain white because that is what the brochure opened on.
